Week #1 Post

Week 1 Blog Topic (post due by class time next week): Where are you now? What goals do you have for the upcoming school year? Who are your most important allies to reach your goals? What habits do you have, and do you need to build, in order to reach your goals?

Goals and Habits and Allies all together:

I am looking forward to constructing my college essays during this summer for the fall semester of my senior year. I want to stop showing up late to events, which I do a lot. I am tardy to a lot of places I go, and wish I could be more organized and on time. I am taking two college classes at College of Marin and taking four classes at my high school. I would like to improve on my organization system so I can be prepared for this coming school year. This coming fall semester I will be taking my first college classes ever: Introduction to Anthropology and Native American Literature. It will be good to have my teachers as my allies.
My most important allies I would say are my parents, who help me with any problems I face them with. My counselor at Tam, Alexandra Hunt, has provided sound advice and aided me in choosing classes for all my years in high school. My teachers have taught me and built efficiency and burning motivation. My friends have guided me and have allowed me to laugh and point fun at embarrassing and disappointing endeavors.

  1. It is good that you are looking forward to writing your college essays, because I know that I am not. I agree with you that our most important allies are our parents because they can help us with any problems that we have. Being in the top 10% of your class takes a lot of dedication, which you have! So good luck and keep up the good work!
