- The total of my future expenses each year are $61,443.11. I know this is logical because my primary sources for information are The New America Foundation, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America.
- According to U.S. News I can likely count on making $80,000 each year in my future job as a Mechanical Engineer. My education/training to get that job will cost $____ total for all years of training.
- I want to save $2,000 for my rainy day fund each year, and $12,000 for retirement each year. If I save $12,000 for retirement each year, by the time I am 65 years old I will have $480,000 plus interest.
- Comparing my future income and expenses makes me think….That I may end up being better off than I thought I would be. I think that having $4,000 extra dollars a year after expenses and savings is a good amount of money to maybe invest in something or spend it on things for myself. Also this is promising because I believe that $80,000 won't be the peak of my salary, I believe that I will be able to work my way up higher than that thus earning more money. I wasn't too surprised about the costs of anything and the websites that I found were very helpful with that. Overall I believe that if I can stick to this plan I will be in pretty good shape.
