If I am to attend college, the most probable major I am to choose is an engineering major. To be more specific, probably a mechanical engineering major. Possible jobs for this major could be an engineering manager, a manufacturing engineer, or a mechanical engineer.
Engineering Manager
-The average pay for an engineering manger is $118,000 per year.
- From the aspect of geographic pay differential, an engineering manager makes more money the lager their market is. For example an engineering manager in Phoenix, AZ makes an average of $106,258 while someone with the same position in New York, NY makes and average of $140,088 annually.
-The position requires a bachelors degree in engineering, but some companies require a graduate degree.
Manufacturing Engineer
-The average annual pay is around $72,000
-The minimum required education for this profession is a bachelors degree in engineering, but many go on to obtain masters in Engineering.
Mechanical Engineer
-The average annual pay is around $80,000
-The minimum education required is a bachelor in engineering but it is recommended that one have a masters degree as well.
