~Week 3 ~ After High School~

Week 3
After High School...

Although I am doing a child education internship this summer, I actually would like to go into the medical field after I graduate. After high school, I am planning on going to a 4-year university, then med. school, and finally, a residency for the career that I end up choosing. I would like to major in Biology, which is a must for one of my career considerations. I am hoping to either study to become a radiologist, cardiologist, or pediatrician. All of these careers require 11-12 years of school.
Annual Salary-
       Radiologist- $300,000+
       Cardiologist- $400,000+
       Pediatrician- $150,000+
Location plays a large role in the determination of the salary for these careers. Working in a more rural country brings a lower salary as opposed to working the same job in a busy urban/city area, which will pay much more.

The personalities for people in these fields are similar to each other. Pediatricians are usually friendly and affable, since they are working with children. Radiologists and Cardiologists are attentive and receptive since the work they're doing requires great attention to detail. However, for all three of these careers, it is necessary to be intelligent and caring.

  1. Same here, I'm vonlunteering in child services but I also would like to develop my career in the medical field! For me all jobs in the medical field are critical in saving people's lives, and being able to participate in any of them will really give me a sense of achievement. Pediatrician is actually one of my considerations too! Through my childwatch internship I learned much about the behavior of children and it gives me a better idea of how to handle them.
